- Production time
- Everything is made after you order it. Allow 3 to 5 business days for us to make and pack your order, plus postage time on top. Large orders and wedding quantities take longer — we tell you the date when we confirm.
- Shipping
- We ship within the United States. Postage is a flat $6.95 per order, and free once your order reaches $75. Local pickup is available at checkout at no charge.
- Returns
- Custom items printed with your photo cannot be returned or exchanged, because they cannot be resold. If an order arrives damaged, or we printed it wrong, we remake it at no cost — send a photograph within 14 days of delivery.
About the 2" Square Magnet
A 2 inch by 2 inch square magnet — 51 mm on each side, about the size of a large postage stamp. It is the size most people order, and it holds one face or a close group shot well. A wide landscape photo will be cropped square, so pick something that works in the middle of the frame.
Every one is made after you order it. Your photo is printed on glossy photo paper, trimmed to the die, and pressed by hand with a clear mylar film over the face. Nothing is pre-printed and nothing is held in stock, which is why the turnaround is 3 to 5 business days rather than same-day.
The back is a flexible magnetic sheet, strong enough to hold itself and a single sheet of paper on a steel fridge door. It will not hold a stack of bills, and it will not stick to stainless steel doors that are not magnetic — check yours with another magnet first.
The press crimps about 3 mm of the printed edge under the rim. Keep faces, text and anything you care about inside that margin — the preview on this page shows you exactly where the edge falls, so what you see is what gets pressed.

File requirements
- Accepted formats
- JPG, PNG, WEBP and HEIC. HEIC is what an iPhone produces by default, so you can upload straight from your camera roll without converting anything. Maximum file size 25 MB.
- Minimum resolution
- At least 600 pixels on the shortest edge. Below that we will still print it, but it will look soft — you are warned on the page before you add it to the cart, and again on your order. A photo straight off a phone is comfortably large enough; a screenshot of a photo, or a picture saved from a text message, often is not.
- Cropping and the edge
- Your photo is cropped to fill the shape, and about 3 mm of the printed edge is crimped under the rim by the press. Keep faces and text away from the very edge. If the crop matters, use the design tool to position it yourself instead of letting us centre it.
